SPACE!!!!

How exciting! Has everyone seen the bizarre footage of "UFO" flying over Xiaoshan Airport in China?? It's WILD! Officials haven't said much, however it has been reported that the aircraft is topsecret and government related...I'm kind of hoping for martians..

At Diztrict, we are all about space and the future! Check out these new Nooka Mercury Sunglasses! Features include a light weight polymer-injected frame and a mirror finish lens design for an overall futuristic look.

Voyage on over to Diztrict for Pan Am Bags!

Pan Am Airlines, the once principal US international air carrier from the late 1920's to it's collapse in 1991, was a cultural icon of the 20th century. You may have recognized their infamous blue globe logo in such movies as 2001: Space Odyssey, The Aviator, or my fav, Catch Me If You Can, with total hearthrob Leo Dicaprio
The 70's Original(left) retails for about $140 and makes the perfect travel bag!

How dope is the passport cover!??

wait.... there's more! EOS New York and Pan Am Brands have collaborated to bring you Pan Am WATCHES!!

The Departure watch, inspired by travel, holds two time zones with two crisp analog faces bearing the pan am logo, on a white leather cuff..perfection.

All Pan Am goodies avalaible at your one and only Diztrict

I LOVE MY NOOKA!

Hey trendsetters I received an awesome opportunity to interview one of the most creative persons in the world of fashion design. The founder and creator of the Nooka design brand, Matthew Waldman. He is a true genius, and if you love his brand try owning more than 15 Nookas, like Kanye West who is among many celebs; Lil Wayne, Alicia Keys, T.I. and the Pussycat Dolls who have been spotted wearing and loving their Nooka.
It has been four years since the creation of Nooka Inc. and from it’s first set of designs Nooka has definitely evolved into a fashion phenomenon. The meaning of Nooka is a contraction of “New Yorker” with a traditional NYC accent. The “noo” in Nooka conveys innovation and a fresh outlook.
As an artist and designer, Waldman believes that his Nookas aren’t just watches, but they are more like a fashion statement. “It’s all about communicating universally, and fashion is another way to communicate in a universal way. People don’t have to know the exact words. When something is going to stand out it will stand out on its own, and that is my motivation for Nooka.” Waldman travels around the world to places like Mexico City, Tokyo, Berlin, and Europe to get inspired for new designs and color concepts for each season. When Waldman is not traveling or coming up with design concepts, he is a professor at Parsons, the New School for Design. He has been a professor at Parsons for 7 years now and encourages his students to not say what they can do, but to show what they can do.
If you love your Nooka, then I assure that you will love what Waldman has in store for the accessory world. Get ready to see exciting things like belts and wallets coming this season. An apparel line is also in the works for future seasons among other top secret projects we will all love to have. Waldman did reveal that he is going to be collaborating with I love Dust, a design studio from London. They will be working on a Nooka watch, a new version of the Nooka Nooka character that will be a collectable item, and a t-shirt. “Anytime you collab you share the strengths of what the other brands have that you don’t. I’ve always believed in win win situations.” I cannot wait to see the future projects Waldman has in store for all his Nooka craze fans.

Diztrict Launch Party

It’s official ladies and gents, the Diztrict store has launched in the West Village area. Just another reason why the West Village is one of the most trendiest diztricts in NYC. The launch party took place on March 18th and was the place to be. Some of the most trendiest people in NYC stopped by, Jane Frampton from Elle magazine, Fred Marfil from Complex magazine, Shoshanna Fischhoff from Women’s Wear Daily, Rachel LeWinter from Time Out New York, and Tim Yap from Sportswear International. They all came to check out one of the coolest accessory stores in NYC, that carries everything from Kid Robot, Nooka, Tokidoki, Paul Frank sunglasses, and of course EOS NY watches.

Everyone who stopped by the launch party represented their diztrict, and used the Diztrict push-pin to put creativity at its best. I must say this was one of the best launch parties I’ve been to. Cool people, the hottest products in the market, free cosmos, and Diztrict goody bags made the launch party a night to remember. If you didn’t make it to the launch party, you now have no excuse to see what the buzz is all about.

Come witness it for yourself!
